Update: Alberto Del Rio Confirms Backstage Incident in WWE, How Long Until He Can Wrestle in the U.S. Again?
Del Rio also confirmed a backstage incident did in fact take place between him and another WWE employee, however he did not go into detail.
Del Rio might have been found in breach of his WWE contract, which is why he cannot wrestle in the States for one year. When talents are found to be in breach of their contracts, they are no longer paid additional revenue from the time the breach occurred, and they are unable to wrestle or compete in MMA for one year.
