The angle was that Maria and Mike Bennett threatened TNA with a lawsuit over Dixie slapping Maria. Billy Corgan agreed that Dixie put the company in a bad position and asked Dixie to take a leave of absence. This to led to Bennett then announcing he was cashing in a X-Division title shot because he wanted the belt so he could guarantee himself a title shot.
